Salve ragazzi,
vi ho scritto per la questione dell'audio che non si sente in The Ring cd1 e cd2. Dopo infinite ricerche forse ho capito che servono dei codec della microsoft che si chiamano ADPCM. Ma esistono? Qualcuno li conosce? Non li trovo da nessuna parte.

io a dir la verità ho un porblema un po' diverso...
il mio player mp3 registra audio in formato .act
che ho scoperto essere questo ADPCM... tuttavia nessun lettore pare riesca a supportarlo e non si riescono a trovare i codec per la riproduzione....

I have been having a problem hearing sound with many of my divx files. I looked around on the forum a bit and hence have used GSpot and abcAVI to independently confirm that I need the Microsoft ADPCM codec to play these audio streams. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a codec to install that will allow this... Please help!
Answer:
I believe that "codec" should be on your system already, it's part of the system build.
Here's some instructions on how to reinstall and check to make sure it's enabled under windows 98:
If the Microsoft ADPCM CODEC is not listed, install it using the Add New Hardware tool in Control Panel. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add New Hardware, click Next, click No, and then click Next.
3. Click Sound, video, and game controllers, and then click Next.
4. In the Manufacturers box, find Microsoft Audio Codecs.
5. In the Models box, click the ADPCM CODEC, click Next and then click Finish.
ADPCM is a standard codec. Just re-install your system components or upgrade DirectX.

ciao,
ADPCM è una variante, chiamamola così, del wav (PCM).
Avete provato a demuxare il video dall'audio e convertire quest'ultimo in mp3?
